THP SINAR SDN. BHD. WINS NATIONAL-LEVEL BEST FACILITY MANAGEMENT AWARD (BUILDING CATEGORY) 2016 BY JABATAN KERJA RAYA MALAYSIA (JKR)
Ipoh, Perak – THP Sinar Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of TH Properties Sdn. Bhd., was awarded Best Facility Management Award (Building Category) 2016 at the Hari Inovasi JKR Malaysia 2016 today. The Award was presented by YBhg. Dato’ Sri Ir. Dr. Roslan bin Md Taha, Director General of Works to YBhg. Dato’ Roszali Othman, Group Managing Director of TH Properties.
The biennial Best Facility Management Award, which was organised by the Public Works Department Malaysia (JKR), evaluates and recognises exceptional facility management companies for their quality services. The comprehensive and detailed criteria and judging procedure are implemented by JKR in the screening process and selection of the award recipients. Amongst the requisite criteria are qualification and competency of the facility management team, the contractor’s leadership, office infrastructure and equipment of the facility management contractor, and many more.
In addition, the JKR Award panel emphasises on innovation, whereby effort and initiatives shown by facility management companies in utilising the latest materials, technology or management systems are recognised. Among the innovations implemented by THP Sinar were the development of a Real Time Power Monitoring application to monitor real time energy usage, switching air filters which resulted in energy savings in the generation of cool air in centralised air-conditioning systems, as well as implementing Predictive Maintenance methods in asset condition appraisal. The holistic judging system that was implemented in the selection of JKR Award recipients is believed to encourage healthy competition amongst facility management contractors in Malaysia. It also identifies and enhances the profiles of high-performing companies and spurs creative-thinking culture amongst facility management companies.
According to Dato’ Roszali Othman, Group Managing Director of the TH Properties Group, recognition in the form of the JKR Award that was bestowed to THP Sinar is a validation of the company’s commitment and effort in realising its aspiration to become one of the high-potential business divisions that contributes to the Muslim economy generally and to Tabung Haji depositors in Malaysia specifically. “It is also a source of inspiration to THP Sinar’s employees to go further and bring about bigger achievements in the facility management field,” he added. THP Sinar, which was formed on 15 March 2010, aims to be a specialist and a main player in the integrated facility management services sector through the use of the latest and best maintenance techniques, whilst maintaining excellent customer satisfaction ratings.
