SEPANG: The TH Properties Sdn Bhd flagship development Bandar Enstek will have its own Islamic centre by 2013 and a mosque in 2015 to serve as a community hub for religious and cultural activities.
In a statement, chairman Datuk Azizan Abdul Rahman said the centre will form part of the Bandar Enstek mosque complex with capacity for a congregation of 1,000, a multi-purpose hall that can accommodate 800 people and house four classrooms catering for 200 students, a teacher’s room and lounge.
TH Properties is underwriting the cost of the RM3 million Islamic centre and contributing RM1 million towards the infrastructure of the mosque as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative to the Bandar Enstek township, which is expected to be home to some 150,000 residents when completed in 2025.
Since the launch of Bandar Enstek in 2000, more than 30% of the 5,119-acre township, with a gross development value of RM9.2 billion, had been completed.
Azizan said response to Bandar Enstek’s residential hub — 34% or 1,747 acres of the entire development — is strong and more than 2,500 units of mixed housing which yielded a development revenue of RM600 million had been completed.
The current housing phases being marketed comprise 124 units of “Rembulan” semi-detached double-storey houses and 119 units of “Idalia” double-storey houses priced from RM622,400 and RM283,900 respectively.
Future development includes additional 350 units of bungalows, semi-detached and link houses at Timur@enstek.
